Caffè Bodega Story
Our story began with cafecito and conversation.
Our founder was raised in a home led by strong, entrepreneurial women, where 5:00AM meant go-time. Yet, mornings also marked a time for the aroma of fresh coffee and pan dulce, to be shared around the kitchen table with her mother and aunts—Latina business owners exchanging hard-earned wisdom, life stories, and a little chisme over steaming mugs.
It was there she learned coffee was more than a drink. It was a ritual. A reason to slow down, connect, spark ideas, and fuel the resilience the day demands.
Her daily ritual soon became a quiet study and a fascination with the culture of coffee. Fueled by a love for the great outdoors and a growing list of national parks to explore, she traveled across the country, seeking out local coffee shops and roasteries along the way. Each stop became part of her research—taking notes on every like and dislike: how the espresso tasted, how the space felt, the music, the service, and the small details most people overlook...slowly shaping the coffee experience she hoped to create one day.
Beyond the love for coffee, she balanced shifts at a neighborhood café, managed responsibilities within her family’s business, earned a degree in criminal justice, volunteered with youth and community programs, and spent over a decade working with real estate investment firms restoring homes and revitalizing neighborhoods. Each experience helped plant the seed for what would one day become Caffè Bodega and deepened her belief that the spaces we create help shape the communities we build.
Today, every detail at Caffè Bodega reflects the journey. From the color paint on our walls, to our logo, every detail has a meaning. The mountains represent her love for the outdoors and the high-altitude regions where our coffee is grown. The arrows honor her two children—a daily reminder of her “why” behind it all, and the need for finding the why behind everything we do. The mug & Bodega symbolizing the heart of our mission—creating a community hub where our neighbors can gather, connect, share stories, spark ideas, and build community.
From the nurturing hands of our farmers, to the precision of our roasters who bring out every nuance, to the skilled hands of our baristas behind the bar, every step is guided by our passion for the craft.
