Caffè Bodega Story

Our story began with cafecito and conversation, growing up in a Latin home led by strong women where the coffee pot was never empty. Early mornings meant the aroma of coffee and pan around the table with her mother and aunts—Latina business owners sharing chisme, life lessons, and business talk over steaming mugs. Those moments taught her that coffee was more than a drink; it was ritual, connection, and fuel for resilience, quietly sparked the path that would one day become Caffè Bodega.

A Decade of Obsession

In high school, our founder took a part-time job at a local café and bakery, learning the craft of specialty coffee while helping with her family’s businesses. Those years shaped her ethic and drive, planting the seed for a coffeehouse of her own. 

​

Her daily coffee ritual, paired with a love for the outdoors and a bucket list of national parks, took her across the country—where visiting the best local cafés and roasteries became the centerpiece of every trip. Logging every detail, every ‘like’ and ‘dislike,’ quietly shaping the vision for the coffee experience she wanted to create.

Every detail of Caffè Bodega is intentional. From the paint on the walls—inspired by our founder's favorite colors—to our curated interior aesthetic, nothing is accidental. To our logo, featuring mountains, representing a shared love of the outdoors with the founder’s sons and the high-altitude peaks where our beans are grown in Latin American soil. The Arrows: Honor her two children—a daily symbol of her "why"  and finding the why behind everything we do. The Mug & Bodega Symbolizing the heart of our mission—creating a community hub where neighbors can gather, share a moment, over quality cup of coffee.

The path to this moment wasn't paved. Bringing Caffè Bodega to life hasn’t been about taking the easy path—it was about finding the right one.

Navigating challenges to reimagine a storied space into a vibrant community hub required patience, persistence and an intentional vision for what it could become.

We can’t wait to open our doors for our beloved San Pedro—a space to gather, connect, and thrive; to slow down, share stories, spark ideas, and build community, one cup at a time.
