Our story began with cafecito and conversation.
Raised in a home led by strong, entrepreneurial women, our founder learned early on that coffee was more than a drink: It was a ritual, a reason to slow down, connect, spark ideas, and fuel the resilience the day demands.
At home, 5:00AM meant go-time. Yet, mornings also meant the aroma of fresh coffee and pan dulce, shared around the kitchen table with her mother and aunts—Latina business owners exchanging hard-earned wisdom, life stories, and a little chisme over steaming mugs.
What started as a home ritual grew into a quiet study of coffee culture. Beginning in high school and continuing through college, she spent years behind the counter at neighborhood cafés. Then a love for the great outdoors, and a growing list of national parks to explore, led her to travel across the country, seeking out local coffee shops and roasteries along the way. Each stop became part of her research—taking notes on everything from how the espresso tasted and how the space felt to the music, the service, and the small details most people overlook, slowly shaping the coffee experience she hoped to create one day.
She went on to earn a degree in criminal justice, volunteer with youth and community programs, and spend over a decade with real estate investment firms restoring homes and revitalizing neighborhoods. Anchored by her experience she founded Caffè Bodega—a vision shaped by the many life experiences, values, and passions that would eventually bring it to life.

Caffè Bodega is a concept that brings together two worlds that reflect our founder’s personality: the rich cultural traditions of Latin coffee culture and her love for mountains & country charm: from music and rustic details to warm hospitality, an old-fashioned sense of community, and the country lifestyle she’s always been drawn to.
